Hello Nutters

We are really looking forward to seeing you all next month for the Winter Nuts Challenge.

Not long to go now until the big day and everyone is hard at work on site preparing the Nuttiest course yet. As you can imagine the recent storms have proved a challenge and we have been right up against it. We have had to change a few of the logistics to accommodate ‘Dennis, Eunice and Freddie’ such as the location for parking and moving the HQ to the South Side of the estate.

PARKING

Parking remains on the North Side of the site (as previous years and Summer Nuts) which means there is a short walk to NUTS HQ (approx. 1km).

Parking will be easily identifiable by the Nuts feather flags on Henfold Lane. DO NOT GO TO THE CAMELOT EVENTS SITE AT HENFOLD LAKES – THIS IS CLOSED TO CARS. PLEASE ONLY TURN WHEN YOU REACH THE FEATHER FLAGS ON HENFOLD LANE. PLEASE IGNORE GOOGLE MAPS AND SAT NAV AS THIS ISNT ACCURATE AND WILL TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG LOCATION.

There will be green directional arrows from the car park to Nuts HQ. The walk from the car park to HQ is muddy and uneven and not suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs.

Please note if you are a disabled badge holder and notify us in advance we can facilitate parking elsewhere FOC. There are two pedestrian exits from the car park to the route to Nuts HQ dependent on which your car is closest too, please ask Marshalls onsite for quickest route to HQ

£5 per car – cash on the day (supporting our charity The Frontiersman) Please make sure you bring your change of clothes with you to avoid a cold walk to the car post-race. These can be left in the changing facilities

REGISTRATION

Race packs will be collected at registration on the day for all competitors (there will be no documentation sent in the post)

Arrive a minimum of one hour before your start time Ensure you bring your ID and ticket (paper or digital) to register

Key/wallet/phone drop is free (we can’t accommodate handbags – leave the Gucci behind!)

EVENT VILLAGE

Hot and cold F&B available

COVID19 VIRUS & RISK OF UPSET STOMACHS

AS WE ARE SURE YOU ARE AWARE, THE SITUATION REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID19) IS VERY DYNAMIC AND CAN CHANGE VERY  QUICKLY.   ALTHOUGH THE GOVERNMENT HAVE RECENTLY CHANGED THE GUIDANCE TO SUGGEST YOU DON’T HAVE TO SELF ISOLATE SHOULD YOU TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID 19  – AS EVENT ORGANISERS WE ASK YOU NOT TO  TRAVEL TO OUR EVENT TO SPECTATE OR PARTICPATE IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID 19.

WE WILL ENSURE THERE ARE ADDITIONAL WASH STATIONS ON SITE BUT KINDLY REMIND YOU TO WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE EATING – ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF YOU COMPLETING MORE THAN ONE LAP AND ARE TAKING ON FUEL IN TRANSITION TO AVOID UPSET STOMACHS.

DOGS

If you are bringing a dog it must be kept on a lead at all times and it goes without saying please clean up after them.

RUBBISH

Please ensure you use the bins provided, do not leave rubbish on site (either on course or in the car park)

FAQs

Don’t have all the answers, don’t forget you can see the FAQs on the website https://www.thenutschallenge.co.uk/faq  or email the team at info@thenutschallenge.co.uk

And there is still time .. so if you have friends and family sitting on the fence give them that little nudge to sign up, online registration until 11.30pm Tuesday 1 March and of course we will accept on the day registrations!

Oh and we love a little shout on social media so if you have any training shots, photos from last year that you fancy posting and tagging us in, we’d love it and will happily share away!

We look forward to seeing you soon.
